This charming 300-year-old detached cottage on the edge of the village of Briston sleeps up to 5 people.

Hollyhedge Cottage feels like an old world cottage and is full of character and charm.  Look out for the Norfolk twister staircase and the walk-in Inglenook fireplace.  The cottage still has the original ex-ships timber beams holding up the living room ceiling and first floor. Many previous guests have fallen in love with the property, the location and North Norfolk just by staying here.

It has a fully fitted kitchen downstairs and a lounge diner with that wonderful large inglenook fireplace.

Bedrooms
There are 3 bedrooms, on the first floor is a comfy double room which gives quirky access to the twin bedded room beyond. A real family feel old world cottage.  The single downstairs bedroom situated next to the downstairs bathroom is ideal for teenagers or grandparents who want their own space.

The rear garden is enclosed and laid to lawn with mature borders. There are a table and chairs for al-fresco dining on the patio.  The garden is secure and safe for well-behaved children and dogs.

There is also a wooden sunroom for relaxing and watching the world go by or sleeping off Sunday lunch after walking back from the nearby pub.

Parking – there is room for one car parked to the side of the property off road and another car on the side of the road in front of the property if required.

Surrounding area

Hollyhedge is in the village of Briston village which has shops, bakers, butchers, fresh fish and great eating pubs only a walk away.

Briston is a short drive from the historic market town of Holt, where you can find regular shops and cafes with plenty of book, art and antique shops.

Holt is a treat for foodies, with daytime breakfasts, lunches and cream teas as well as evening meals. Most tastes are catered for along with takeaway offers too.

Nearby are Morston (bird reserve and seal viewing trips) Blakeney, Cley and Salthouse.

A little further along the coast to the east are CromerSheringham, and, travelling to the West are Stiffkey,Wells Next the Sea, Brancaster Staithe, Hunstanton and Heacham.

Norwich is a 40-minute drive away, as is Kings Lynn and Wroxham on The Norfolk Broads.  Sandringham, Blickling and Holkham estates are all a great day out too.
